Geltsdale

Perfect for a small family holiday or time away with friends to explore the great outdoors. Geltsdale was converted from a former barn and has an upside-down layout. So you can truly take in the stunning surrounding views of the garden and fells. You can pick fresh herbs from the doorstep and even get apples straight from the trees when they are in season.

(2 dogs)

Downstairs there is one double bedroom and one single bedroom with a separate shower room. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds freshly made with quality white linen ready for your arrival. The stylish décor includes handmade curtains, matching lampshades, as well as co-ordinated cushions and throws.

There’s plenty of storage space in the solid, hand-painted furniture, so you can unpack and make yourself at home during your stay. The shower room has a good sized shower cubicle, built in shelves for storage and an electric heated towel rail. Lovely soft, white, fluffy towels are provided too.

Then on the first floor the stairs separate the open plan well-equipped kitchen/dining area from the lounge area. The original exposed beams give an open, airy feel to the cottage.

In the lounge you’ll find a comfortable sofa for two and a coordinating armchair to relax in after a busy day. The windows perfectly frame the breathtaking views across Renwick Fell – you could get lost just watching the changing skies and tranquil landscape. But there is a smart TV and DVD player if you want to watch a movie or catch up on your favourite box set.

Geltsdale has been accredited 4 Star Gold by Visit England.

We welcome 2 dogs (based on a medium sized dog).
